Professional of the Year Award - A Big Thanks Goes to the Whole PCS Team!

Doug Drake, Executive Director of Personal Counseling Service was awarded Southern Indiana Professional of the Year by One Southern Indiana at its 20th annual Southern Indiana Business Awards program on May 15, 2008. This annual event recognizes outstanding businesses and professionals headquartered or located in Indiana’s Clark and Floyd Counties. The winners were announced to a sold-out crowd at a luncheon in New Albany.

Six independent judges determined finalists from a pool of nominees in each category and selected winners based on the following criteria: business history, community involvement, response to adversity, newly-created opportunities, and innovation in products or services. Doug Drake's Professional of the Year award was sponsored by Sam Day, Kightlinger & Gray. Nominees for the award this year included Carol Dawson, EEO GUIDANCE, Inc. and Vaughan Scott, Smith Barney Investment Center at Your Community Bank.

Upon coming back the the office, the staff surprised Doug with an enormous banner....he was very thrilled and surprised. He also spoke with Carol Dawson -- both Doug and Carol thought the other person deserved the award more....just like both of them to say that!
